well, things change.  the only permanent thing in the world is change.

my daughter’s usual habit when she wakes up is to lie beside us and stare outside the window and play with her head or hands.  then when she’s awake for so long, she will start to wake us up.  that’s how we start our day.

but just this week, things changed.

on monday, when i woke up, i saw that the sun was not up yet.  so i checked my daughter if she’s already awake.  i saw her on the other side of the bed while munching on her toy.  she was quiet, probably her way of saying ‘i love you mom and dad,,i know you’re tired of washing my bottles so i will not disturb your sleep’.  so i closed my eyes again hoping to be back to my dreamland.  but i opened my eyes again to check the time.

i was startled.  it was already 7am! that means i’m late again! so i said to my husband to get up because it’s already 7am. he was also shocked that our daughter didn’t wake us up.

he said, maybe Ria already got the routine that when she wakes up, the day will start.  we will again leave her in the care of her yaya.  she cries when we leave.  maybe she thought that if she will not wake us up, we will not leave her.
