She’s now 1 year, 2 months and 12 days..in addition to what she can do at 1 year and 2 months, she can now say “opo” with the help of ate xye xye and pen pen de sarapen with tatay Johnny. I was surprised when I got home from office and my mom told me Ria learned something new. I immediately asked, “kalokohan ba?” My mom answered dad taught her to do pen pen de sarapen. But the thing is that she doesn’t want to do it with other people, except for my dad. Close na sila sa wakas. Dad can also carry her now. My mom took 1 night before she carried Ria and my dad took 3 days. Well at least she can now go with my parents.
Last Sunday night (til Monday dawn), we went to Duty Free. Me, mom, dann and my eldest sister together with my cutest daughter shopped til closing. We were the last customers at 3.30am so after we went out, the staff started to close the store..
As the usual practice, my mom gave $100 each to us three. So I spent the money to buy Ria’s toys. Ria saw the computer toy with keyboard and she didn’t want to stop touching it. So mom bought the toy as their gift to Ria. The other toys I bought were musical guitar, another musical toy and learning desk. Although she can only enjoy the desk when she reaches 3 years old, I bought it anyway. Maybe this is the only time I can give her that desk. It has many activities. White board, magnetic letters and numbers, swirlers (the circle stuff where you can create flowers), and a lot more. I think it has blocks too but i’m not sure. Anyway, she really loves the musical toys and the computer.
Last night, I was wrapping her gifts from Duty Free. As usual, she can’t stand not doing something naughty. So the bribe, the musical toy that she really likes. True enough, she stayed on her dad’s lap and played with the toy. So I get to wrap the gifts semi-peacefully 🙂
I am amazed at the pace of her development. When you are a parent, you will be astounded at how kids learn everything from scratch. I am amazed on her logic and learning. For me, she’s a fast learner. Although other kids might be in the same pace as her. I am amazed on her common sense that in this early age, she can do a thing even without the help of adults. She can analyze and solve “problems” on her own. This is the best part of being a parent, you get to see your child’s development.
