Summer Program

Last Saturday, we had our breakfast at McDonald’s.  There were three Kiddie Crews assisting the customers.  One kid was assisting her mom and the mom went “do you know where the sugar is?” then she answered “of course, I work here”.  I just thought that she was a little mature for thinking that she’s not only having fun but she’s working.  Then I said to dann, if Ria reached the minimum age for kiddie crew, we’ll let her join.

Summer is about to end.  Even though Ria didn’t go to any summer program this year, we’ve got the whole year to save for her next summer.  Tamang-tama, the international preschool near our office offers various summer programs for different age brackets.  Actually, we wanted to enroll Ria to the toddler program, mahal lang kasi.  It was like P5000 for two weeks, I think.  The toddler program improves kids social skills and that’s what we like Ria to have, social skills.  hahaha

But a while ago, during Xye’s swimming graduation, Dann told me he wanted to enroll Ria in swimming lessons.  Para raw pag lumubog yung bangka, alam ni baby kung anong gagawin.  It is also more practical to enroll a kid in programs that they can really use in their everyday life.  We also want her to learn Wing Chun (?) or Taekwondo..para raw itataekwondo ni baby yung mga manliligaw niya. haha.  Dann is a real dad indeed (very protective).

So bahala na si batman, basta magiipon muna kami for next summer so we can enroll her na.  I want her to learn first the basics, like reading and writing (and socializing!) so that she’ll be prepared for school.  So yung ibang plano, sa mga susunod na lang..hehe..

My regret, I didn’t save for Ria’s summer.  I just thought that she’s too young.  But there’s no age requirement for learning…especially the practical ones.  So Ria, next year, babawi kami ni daddy mo sayo.  Gala tayo (chos! mas magastos yun..hehe)
