It was another DIY birthday party for our little daughter, Ria. We were limited financially since I am about to give birth this December so I just made some inexpensive items for her loot bags. We also bought some from Edengs in Market Market.
Invitations
Ria wanted to have a Frozen-themed birthday party. Although we planned ahead of what to do, we ended up doing only few items for this birthday. The invitation is definitely a Frozen-inspired one.
We just printed the layers (the one with details and Elsa’s picture) and glued the first layer to a white board. Originally, I planned to have the last layer to be a craft board but since my husband was not able to get a kraft cartolina, I just used a white board. Then luckily we still have blue boards so we cut them in strips and added white ribbon. I glued Elsa’s picture on a board and cut it using craft scissors. That’s it. A simple Frozen-inspired invitation for her classmates.
Loot bags
I made some handmade felt pencil toppers for Ria’s classmates and created personalized doodle books. Making the doodle book was a bit tedious since I had to cut and paste the pictures in one sheet. So when I was done, the doodle book looked like this:
Blank pages were inside and stapled using a long stapler we bought months ago.
Pencil toppers looked like this:
Ria chose the designs for her classmates. 🙂 We bought the pencils at National Bookstore. I think they’re P9/pack of 3.
Then we the things we bought from Edengs were: Erasers, rulers, packs of glue, bubble maker, and disc flyer.
We bought colored papers from National Bookstore and crayons. Then I made the bags again. I created a personalized Thank You cards, too. The blue ones were for girls while the white ones were for boys.
I forgot to include the disc flyer in this picture.
Party at School
We arrived at around 12.30 pm. We ordered spaghetti from Jollibee then bought a chocolate cake, the small one. We also bought Chuckie chocolate drink for the kids since they’re not allowed to drink packed juices (they’re just sugar and water!).
The kids loved the chocolate cake so some of them asked if they could have another slice. We gladly gave them more slices 🙂
Party at home
We also celebrated her birthday at home. We bought our dinner from Chopstick Restaurant, just near our condo. We had pancit and lumpiang shanghai with chocolate cake again.
Shopping Spree
She received money from her lolos and lola so we decided to treat her and buy her some toys. It was like heaven for her to be inside a big toy store! We went to Toy Kingdom in Megamall and she chose her toys. She also bought toys for her baby brother 🙂
She’s growing up so fast. 🙂
