Since we are doing Charlotte Mason this year, art or picture study is among the activities that we will do. Picture study is not a Charlotte Mason-only thing. So these printables can also be used by other homeschoolers or parents.
How to conduct an Art Study?
For a certain term or quarter, choose an artist/painter. Research the background of this artist and discuss it during the first week. Better if you can print a picture of the artist so the kids can visualize the lesson. Then every week, display an art work of that artist. During you art study session, ask the kids what they think and feel about the picture. What are the things that struck them the most. What do they like about the picture. You can also ask them to do their own version of the art.
