We are going to study Asia this year in our homeschooling, particularly because our Year 7 needs to have Asian studies this year. So I thought of creating flash cards with flags and country information at the back to aid her and her brother in recognizing Asian countries. The cards are meant to be printed back to back.

The list of countries was based on the United Nations’ Geoscheme of Asia. The websites of National Geographic Kids and the CIA were used as sources of country information.

Since the list is based on the UN’s, those territories with ongoing disputes are still listed as long as they are on the list. Caution is suggested when using these cards to teach your kids. It is suggested to do research beforehand so as to include some caveats regarding these territories.
